Some Outrageous CEO Perks

I have mixed feelings. If someone works their butt off or just lucks out and gets that kind of position, I wouldn't deny them the perks or pay..... but what I have a problem with is when the company gives their, already well paid CEO, the highest paid bonus in the state (ie CA last year) over 2 million dollars..... and at the same time that annoucement goes out in the news, freezes all the wages for the people that work there.... then I have a problem! I worked my butt off and saved the company more than I make in a year and I got nothing.

Having worked for a Finnish company, I learned differences between CEO's there and here in the US... We are very much more greedy. All this taking is what is destroying our morals, our economy and quite possibly our country.

It's very popular to get angry about news stories.

The news stories are designed to get people riled up.
 
While I think it is outrageous the amount we pay some people to do their job, if the job fell into my lap I may choose to do it for a year or two (I doubt they will be calling me anytime soon), and putting that money in the bank. It is true those with the titles work their butts off. But so do the middle managers as well. Both my Mom and DH are managers ~ they work their tails off for their money and lay offs seem to be around the corner at all turns. I think if companies truly valued their work force and perhaps distributed the extra $ throughout their organization than the lay offs and the insecurities within their company would be less. Plus their would be the added bonus of their work force being PROUD to work there and in the end promote their organization -ie free marketing or advertising as the workers who are proud to work there would be talking about how awesome the company is and perhaps even buying their products as well.

I know I get turned off by a company that outsources everything and lays off a bunch of workers and then whines and complains because stocks dropped or their product isn't flying off the shelves anymore- duh I will bet that the old employee isn't buying your stuff anymore and perhaps may be sharing their bad experience with everyone they meet.

It is too bad that there are $300 plates of food when there are starving people out there. Seriously what kind of food do you get to eat for that amount and how much?
 
Ceo perks ok with me for their hard work.......but not all those perks our elected congress get. Who work part time, yes both parties

You know what it all boils down to is there just isn't enough money anymore. I'm going to go tune out.
