Some people have no clue about snow. Up date #33

Hee hee!

I had a friend who had an unsucessful online chat for service or something that turned into a canned chat FAIL - the end was something like this:

Her:"Thank you for being so unhelpful and difficult"
Them" You are welcome. Have a good day!"

Hope the tech can figure out what he's doing....don't bet to heavily on common sense!

If Larry the Dish Guy DOES show up at your house, I'll bet he'll say "I can't replace your dish. There's two feet of snow on the roof". I hope you don't plan of HD until spring .....

That's pretty much it, Steve, unless there is a thaw. Last year, when the great over-the-air HD switch was made in February I managed to get on the roof to put up and aim a new antenna. Right now we just have too much snow and it's been too cold for it to settle or go off. I even had to snowblow open a path for my 4-wheel drive Kubota today in order to get chicken feed to the coop because the snow was so deep it would hang up and I couldn't get traction. Ended up being more work that if I'd hand carried all 250 lbs. there. Normally we get snow, lose it and then get more. The last time we had a winter like this was 93-94, got a foot of snow on Halloween that lasted until April--had roofs collapsing all over.

When you call these places, you can request to speak to someone who lives in the United States. It may take several requests, but the more you do it, hopefully, it would make the CEO's of these places realize that we want some one who lives here to help us.

I would tell them, "sure, come on over" to them if they can't seem to get the idea that there's snow on the roof. Then, demand that they change it or don't charge you for the call.

Had to talk to one woman last month and she told me how much she would love to see snow. Told her it was better if she just looked at pictures. said she really wanted to see it in person.
Told her we were at 15 below zero.
She changed her mind right quickly.

I am gonna throw my two cents in here because DH used to work for DirecTv. Call them back and tell them that you want a DirecTV employee/technician to come out. They sub contract ALOT of installation work and most of those bozos have no clue what they are doing. The employees of DirecTV do know what they are doing.

Save yourself the trouble. Call back.
