Some people ...

I absolutely agree. Everyone should be interested in the things I'm interested in & only the things I'm interested in. The notion that different people might have different interests is ridiculous!

That reminds me of when the guy who comes and cleans my quail cages and removes the eggs, once said to me - "I would try these eggs but I can not get past the poop factor, that there's poop sometimes on the eggs." I said "You eat eggs don't you?" He said "Yes" I said "What do you think chickens don't poop? The farmers just wash the eggs." Then he tried eatting them and really liked them. LOL

oops, posted it on the wrong page..lol Was reading about people who was opposed to eatting eggs from other birds besides chickens. Sorry somehow got on the wrong page.

I know some of my friends are really put back by the fact we have an area with chickens in it and ducks running around the yard. But then we have friends and all of our family that just LOVE to come over and hold, pet, collect the eggs from our chickens and ducks.

So to answer your question I personaly couldn't just walk by your birds and put my nose up, but I know people that could.

Maybe it has to do with the way people are raised my hubby and I always had a lot of animals growing up. Since we have been together in the last 8 years we have had dogs, cats, snakes, fish, turtles, iguanas, camilions (sp), chickens ducks, rats, hampsters, and other pets. We are just the kind of people that like pets and enjoy having them around. Now we have our two kids and they are growing up the same way. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I agree and my hubby is the same way. He loves the birds but insists that they are mine, at least all but the Glw that loves him.

It might be that some people are just more layed back and able to enjoy the simple things in life.

Yes there are a few of us! But don't trust me I put ketchup on all eggs except boiled or those made into a omlet with all kinds of tasty additions.Plain eggs are boreing!

GrannySue you crack me up!!! Did you ever tell your visitor about his breakfast eggs? I'm not sure I couldn't have rubbed his face in it afterwards!

I must say I don't believe I've ever had duck egg, but I am looking forward to trying them as soon as mine get here and are old enough! I do enjoy baking during the cold winter months so I hope to be using duck eggs for that!

You know what I hate? When I'm down on my hands and knees cleaning, and there are people behind me watching me scrub, and are complaining about the smell!
