Ok, so we are going to start out with 6 chicks, and we are going to be feeding them from day 1 to week 16 a 20% chick starter/grower so, they come in 50 lb bags for $15, my question is what is the average we should have, meaning...

How many bags of chick grower/starter should we buy for 6 chicks?? THANKS!

With only 6 chicks, buy only 1 bag at a time. 2 bags will probably be all you will need until they are able eat regular feed. You don't want it to go to waste or spoil.

I had 10 chicks and they took 6 weeks to go through a 50# bag of starter then still had some left over when I switched them to grower feed.
