Buffalo gnats?

That was my issue as diagnosed by LSU necropsy and he said he doesnt have the means to get a good pic of them. Theyre teenie tiny and u need a macro lense on a good camera to get pics.

Are they like "No See Ums"? Never heard of Buffalo Gnats but then again we live in HI.
We were motorhoming through Florida Everglades and stopped off for lunch. My Hubby started scratching and was so itchy. Once we were told what they were, we checked into a motel, fogged the motorhome and kept windows close in the evenings. My poor Hubby was covered in welts, he looked like he had the measles. Suffered so bad, nothing would sooth it, not even ammonia. We had a Cruise to catch so we held up in Orlando for a month so he could heal. I had a few bites but he tasted better. Weird thing is you can't see them but you can feel the bite & see the welt appear. Was terrible.
