Hi
I am a poor student of fine arts. To keep my study going i want to do duck keeping and firming.

i have 1 bigha=25050 sq ft of Land.

That i will turn into POND.

I will also build a duck house near the pond for ducks to stay at night.

I am willing to feed the ducks from the natural sources of the pond. Like snails, leafes, pond trees etc.

I will also feed them 60 grams of layer feed at night.

Now is 25050 sqft pond enough for 2000-2500 ducks (layer 4.5month)? As I wish they will take 100 grams of food from the pond alone during day time.

How much ducks i can keep in 25050 sq feet pond.

Really... you are going to get 2500 ducks! I have 10 ducks and most of my time everyday is consumed by ducks...I dont know where my life went..Its just DUCKS...

I think it would a nightmare for me after day one, but it would be fun to have 2000 ducklings... for a day!

Stupid question...if you can't afford schooling, how in the world are you going to be able to afford that many ducks???

What you mean by that.

Schooling??

the Labour in village is very cheap here..i am from Dhaka Bangladesh.

I can get a full time worker here for 10-15 USD.

and 4 and half month old ducks are priced in 2 and half usd approx..

My schooling of fine arts is 4 years. But it will take 9 years to complete from here on because of session problems..

oops forgot to say.. In agri sector all the banks NGOS and Commercial organization gives loan here..

Someone locally will review your business plan before they give you a loan? I do not know your local conditions but to me it sounds like you are planning on too many ducks for your land/pond area. I doubt that a stand alone pond is going to produce 250 Kg/day of quality feed. (US 250 Kg=550 pounds!) That would be 1Kg/100 sq. ft. If all your land was turned into a pond but you are going to have to have a large duck house to keep the ducks in and to allow them a place to lay the eggs.
I have only run a 100 duck operation under cold weather conditions, and yes there is money to be made if you can allow the ducks to find their own feed, I am just afraid you are planning on too many ducks for the amount of land you have and you will end up having to buy more feed than you are planning, or reduce the number of ducks which will cut into your income. Try to find someone locally to advise on your plan and Good Luck.

Normally 1 layer duck needs 160 gram of quality feed..
Where as layer chicken needs 120 gram of quality feed per day...

you got my intention right

My plan was to give the layer ducks 100 grams of food from the natural sources of the pond.. their house for night will be above the pond made with bamboo and tin..

i would feed them 60 grams of layer pallet feed at night..

this would make me a millionaire(my countries currency) within a year or two..

I will be rich and wealthy

poor mans dream..
