Somebody wants to buy one of my hens. Price?

turkeys aren't bringing much right now in OK..at auctions you might get $20...those guys then take them to the flea market and will sell them for double...triple the money and get it...so...it all depends on what you find a person willing to sell it for....better to check local type listing for local prices rather than across the country prices...way too much variance...plus hard to rate quality
 
They where what you call mixed. Rare colors. I sold 20-30 just in November.

And what part of the country are you in? That seems to make a big difference, too.
Where I am (Northern California). organically raised heritage turkeys go for probably up to $80 if you live in an area with foodies.

I sold several this summer.
Toms 1 yr. old $35
Hens 1 yr. old $30
poults un-sexed 4 mo. old $15
poults un sexed 2 wks. $8

I sold 6 toms, 13 hens, 22 poults 4 mo., & 28 poults 2 wk.
I gave a few deals, so I made about $1000 on turks this summer.
 
Hey Birdaholic were you selling yours at Beebee? Just curious. Its a long drive for me and i know the sellers set up and start selling before daylight sometimes. Thanks for the info

Thanks that will make it worth my while then to make the trip over there, play the market etc. Also a good way to off young roos too
