I had to move hay to day and this is what I found snoozing on the tractor:

Ehhhh:

I buckle in. Check out my fancy seat belt. I hate it when my tractor gets fractious and throws me out.

And off we go!

When I completed my job, the spider was traumatized, but unhurt.

I think she gave me the raised fang in this photo:

But her web was still intact:

And I left her to her creature comforts. Until next time Ms. Spider!

TheOldChick, I salute you! You have faced down a formidable opponent, shown mercy in victory, and ridden off into the sunset in style! I would have baled out of the tractor screaming like a girl (so okay, I AM a girl, but I'm a very tough girl ... except when it comes to spiders .... I can't even BREATHE around them!)
