Someone found a chicken and gave it to me

When you got the chicken from her did she bring him to your house or did you go to her house?

View attachment 1226280 this is the pictures she sent to me.. why is the chicken so calm on her lap if it was found and why is it so calm around a dog.. hmmm.. i should question her about this

Chickens are prey animals are very wary of dogs. The fact that the chicken is unbothered by the dog leads me to believe that he was used to it ie seeing and interacting with the dog.

She invited me to come and see the chicken (we lost a chicken a while back and thought it may have been her) and it was in a not so good part of town, she told us that she "found" it walking behind her house and that aparently her daughter wanted to keep it at her fathers but she said her daughters father abuses animals. Long story short i told her i didnt think it was my missing chicken and she asked if we wanted it and she would drop it to our place, and we said yes (because we were on a motorbike).

She said it was a hen and kept calling it a "her"

This whole thing is very seems very shady to me. How long was she looking after the chicken until she gave him to you? How did you find out that this woman was looking to rehome this chicken?

Cut like they were trimmed so the bird couldn’t fly or cut to make the bird look different?
