Someone found a chicken and gave it to me

Why would someone want to make a rooster look like a hen? I don't see the point in that.

It can be very hard to rehome cockerels/roosters and sometimes out of desperation to get rid of the bird they pass them off as pullets/hens.

The only reasons I can think of is 1) they can't have roosters at their house but are trying to trick animal control/neighbors into thinking it's not a rooster or 2) trying to sell a rooster as a hen to an unsuspecting buyer. But I think the found bird is a hen.

Sorry for the late update guys but.. unfortuantly he was a boy that was confirmed by the RSPCA.
And because i live in the suburbs my local council will not allow me to have a rooster, therefor i had to surrender him over to the RSPCA.
They are investigating the abuse, i have been waiting fir a update.
But have not received one

Well I just read through this whole thread and I must say


I can't believe how many people fell for it.
It took me no more than the first picture to know that was a male. Everything else just proved the point further.
