For the future, I would recommend begining with treating the issue like she was egg bound. if I understand the issue correctly, she had an egg that wouldn't come out or was stuck that you could see?

she's about 20 weeks old, this was her first egg! she's outside with the others now, getting her feathers dry and fluffing back up. i'm still very worried about her but hoping for the best. i'll bring her back in around 4:00 for the night and another vent check!How old is she and how long has she been laying?
