SOMEONE HELP

He's just laying there peeping with his yolk sack hanging. He can't stand or walk. But I'm going to cheer practice and when I get back I'm going to hopefully have a baby with a dried yolk Sak and I'm going to put some ointment on his navel and start with the leg and foot treatment.. Cause he can't stand

He maybe able to stand after he has a chance to recover from his ordeal, sometimes it takes a bit of time for them to stand so don't get too impatient. and make sure to use something like 50/iodine to 50water mixed together to keep yolk sac clean so he doesn't get infection. use a qtip of clean cotton ball to apply. His yolk sac will continue to absorb then it will dry up and fall off. If you veterycin spray even better because then you don't have to touch the sac at all.

She's okay! She's trying to walk but I think he legs are to far apart. She pulls herself forward with her beak. ?

Is there still an egg sac? Might that be interfering?

After a few days if the legs are still spraddled, she may need a simple brace - like a soft yarn holding her legs closer. Good news, that she is moving around!

Also, you may want to plan to start adding niacin to her water. It is not expensive. Let's see how it goes in a few days.

I would add the vitamins. I normally do for 2-3 days after hatch anyway. I think the legs might be an issue later on, but give it a little time before you worry too much. When they're newly hatched, their legs are a little weird. Can you show a pic?

Every time I try pictures my phone freaks out. But when I get home to a computer ill send one and, my mom said she walked today! Yay! I'm at school so ill update when I get home. :) I'm so proud and happy. Her name is lucky!!!

I agree with both Amiga and HollyDuckFarmer. Give her some vitamins and electrolytes and work with her legs if she doesn't start walking normally in the next day or so. Also, she may need food and water a little sooner than a normal duckling if she wasn't able to fully absorb her yolk sack. 24 to 36 hours should be fine, but I wouldn't wait much longer than 36. Is her yolk sack fully absorbed?
