Someone keeps making complaints about my chickens! (Update post #222!)

Thankfully, they didn't have a no-knock warrant. Then they would have kicked in the door, thrown DH & I to the ground, hauled the kids to cps and shot the dog.

Sad, but true. Out near where I am, the infamous PG County police raided a home suspected of drug activity, handcuffed everyone, and shot two dogs. The guy turned out to be the local mayor ... and someone had sent 32 lbs of weed addressed to the guy's wife ... probably using their home as a blind drop.

I am so glad this is working out, some people (nosey neighbors) need to get a life! I have an awful lot of excess cockerels at this time of the year. I do my best to sleep throught their enthusiasm!

Disappointed, my booty. I don't care who you are. You come in my home and shoot my dog for no reason I WILL blow your head off, sooner or later. Even if I have to wait for an opportunity.

Great news from the OP, but I'd still be wary of the neighbor trying something.

Yay! I'm so glad it's resolved. The fact that you went to the supervisor asap and started pushing back probably helped quite a bit. Knowing they're not going to be surprising you anymore will sure help your stress levels, I'll bet.

Like others said, I'd keep an eye on that neighbor, as it's possible they could do something weird. I'd do my best to be as friendly as possible with them, though it sounds as if you've tried and they rebuff and ignore you. Sad.

Anyway, congratulations on getting some good resolution, and I hope it's the end of the problem and complaints.

instead of buying urself a roo. Find out who that neighbor is and give them 3 roos and tell them that they are hens and that you want to show them how much having chickens are enjoyable. They won't know they are roos! Would be

to see the look on their face when the roos start CROWING!

I hope that the OP gets to see the picture that was turned in as evidence to the code people. Then she could determine what yard it was taken from and know who the culprit is.

I got a random email from the person who said they were a friend of the anon. neighbor and posted about my chickens on cheapcycle...

I had emailed her and figured out that the post was about me--same location, and said that my neighbor had chickens as well and would she call me. That was like a week ago maybe?

Today I got this email:

Isn't that ironic...her name is Amy as well...Are you her, if so please do something about keeping your chickens and roosters in your yard...

Should I even bother responding? Sure, I'll try to do something to stop your hallucinations...

It's also interesting because they know my name. I don't think our new neighbor should know my name for any reason unless she spoke to another neighbor who told it to her, which is doubtful considering she doesn't ever come outside or speak to anyone.
