I do give eggs to the neighbors, the young girl...6yrs. old is trying to hatch it with a light in her room...really cute! Really, I have no clue and everyone I tell this to, thinks it is just too weird. We are just puzzled by it. My girls do get loud in the laying process, but they are really good girls.

Maybe the little girl is having no luck hatching her egg and thought you woulddo it for her.

Still no idea about who left the egg. At this point, it is still a strange puzzle, but my neighbors think it is weird too. Frankly, it is too bad if someone doesn't like the chicks,...I love them, and they are all starting to lay now. But, I will keep a watch out for other weird things.

Maybe some dude was just walking down the street carrying an egg and had to stop and tie his shoe or something and set his egg down and forgot about it.
