Someone please help me find a REALLY easy quilt pattern.

I'm with Willow. Strip quilts are super fast and easy to make, and they look great when finished.

This was my first quilt.

My first quilt was a 9 patch.... I then just stitched in the ditch along all of the seams to quilt it

It's still one of my fave quilts and gets lots of use

I don;t make my quilts to standard sizes... I just make them the size that seems best for snugglin with them

Takes a lot of the measuring out of it

I just choose a size block I like... cut all my squares the same, put them into 9 patches then figure out how many I want across and down and then add some sashing(? Strips between the blocks... I think that's the term)

turning 20 is really easy. You take 20 fat quarters and cut them into three different sized blocks per the instructions. I can usually cut and sew this one in a day.

A simple quilt that I made the top seriously for a full bed (but I made a queen size) is a split rail fence built the strip method. The strips are 2 1/2 inches wide 45 inches length or with fat quarters 22 inches length. I then sew 3 strips together, I make many of these sets about 34-38 sets of these for a queen. These fabrics can be scraps or fat quarters or just by 1/4 yd to 1/2 yd of several fabrics. Then chose a fabric for a border another for binding. Backing can be bought at widths up to 104" or more at Joann....newspaper has coupons for 40% off or PM me. I cut each of these strips into 6 1/2 inch lengths. Then stich together alternating vertical and horizontal "stripes" You will need about 14 to 16 squares for width and 14 to 18 length. I make my quilts cover my pillows and drop long on the sides. Use the higher numbers to do this for a queen for a king I would do 18 by 20 or so. I usually use a queen for a full bed too. I tie with embroidery thread each of the 6" squares. I use "warm and wonderful" for tied quilts as it holds together well. My first quilt I used something else and had to re-do it. I have a child that had for years problems with bedwetting...her quilt is tied and has stood up to washes....severeral hundred as I made it for her when she was not yet 2 yo. The type of batting is very important and backing if the quilt will be washed a lot...I have 4 kids, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 5 bunnies and way too many chickens....so frequent washing is very important. No luck finding a free pattern, but if you just sat and did some math it shouldn't be too awful hard to figure out. Looks like you're taking each block and cutting itno 3 shapes... a long rectangle off one side and then the remaining piece into a square and a small rectangle.
