They're a nightmare! You HAVE to have a good enclosure, nothing short of indestructible. Or trust me, they will escape! Our Pigmy is always finding a way out into the grain room.

Not to hijack the thread, but I think alpacas would need a guardian, possibly a donkey or maybe a llama. Goats would need a guardian for sure....

My former neighbors' enclosure was just designed to keep in goats, and there was a coyote in the enclosure during the day! They lived practically in the river bed.
