Chirping
Hello all. I have read tips on how to identify gender of chickens, but as simple as it seems when I read about it, when I look at my birds, I second guess my eyes.
My birds range in age from 13-20wks and I have recently started hearing some crowing coming from the run. They, of course, wait until I turn my back or walk away from the area to start so I normally miss who the noises come from. This morning was different, and I was surprised. I know I have at least one rooster. I suspect I have at least two. It is my understanding that crowing is something that happens with hen as well, so I am turning to the experts here for help.
The questionable bird is a blue laced Wyandotte. I am new to posting, so I hope I can attach the picture properly.
