Hello all. I have read tips on how to identify gender of chickens, but as simple as it seems when I read about it, when I look at my birds, I second guess my eyes.

My birds range in age from 13-20wks and I have recently started hearing some crowing coming from the run. They, of course, wait until I turn my back or walk away from the area to start so I normally miss who the noises come from. This morning was different, and I was surprised. I know I have at least one rooster. I suspect I have at least two. It is my understanding that crowing is something that happens with hen as well, so I am turning to the experts here for help.

The questionable bird is a blue laced Wyandotte. I am new to posting, so I hope I can attach the picture properly.

How old is the Blue (this bird is not laced) Wyandotte?

Also, can we get a pic of that Silver Laced? If that one is older, it could be a pullet. From the little I can see though it appears to have a male pattern. A pic of that bird would confirm or deny that though.

This one? It has been on my suspicion list for being a rooster.

I should also mention, the bird centered in the first post is the bird in question, not the one in the background.

Thanks!
I understood that. I asked for the age of that one.

You have crowing from an unknown bird, and that one in the background looked masculine depending on age. That's why I asked about that one as well.
