SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS

yikes you guys now have me scared out of my wits.

my rir roo has tiny little black dots on his comb that look like tiny ticks/mites. is this fowl pox ? should i be worried? is there treatment? is it fatal? where can i get medication?how expensive is it? i guess i could go with out Christmas presents this year if it is expensive.

you guys have me scared now i love him he is my pet. if it is it will spread to my other chickens.

I would say to keep the infected-looking chickens separated from the rest of the flock until this is figured out, so the disease won't spread(if it is spreadable)

don't panic now! If you look up "chicken illnesses" online, you can find lots of info.

But lucky for you, I doubt it will cost that much. I'm wondering what stuff you can do to help with the fowl pox.
not sure about your rooster. please post a pic of him and these "black dots" if you can.

Most likely those are blood spots on your roo, just where he got a few pecks or scrapes.
