Someone vandelized my beehive

We have had people drive into and knock over/apart several of our hives. After the problem, we set up the game cameras and they never came back so we did not catch them

That's my question, too! Some people just continue to shock me sometimes, uggg! I'm so sorry for you trouble, I hope you catch the lousy excuse for a human.

My bet it's kids with guns!!!!! They don't understand the pollination thing and really don't care. I have been on our local 911 dispatch team to pick up feral swarms and was called one day by the neighbor because kids playing with a swarm got stung. I was just disgusted when I got there the kids where gone probably inside to the 110 in TV I could see and hear blaring from inside. There in the median was a war zone of numerous weapons on mass distruction (to bees) baseball bats, hose-water still running,, hockey sticks , firecrackers, you get the jist. There on the tree in the mediean was a handful of bees down near the base of the tree. What an awful site, how degrading I am sure at one point that was a heathly amount of bees that where resting and looking for a permanent home!

Then as I was throwing the bats, sticks, balls hose whatnot the mother came out of the house saying "Oh your here to pick up the bees" all I could say when I wheeled around was "what's left of them" she went back inside not to be seen again. I stayed for two hours trying to get almost all the bees and trying to find a queen, can't say if I did but since it was late in the day I wanted all the bees going back in from scouting collected and not left in that place.

I have picked up many swarms but this showed the awful stupidity about youth and their lack of knowledge. Who ever said it file charges they need to learn!

There is a bayou here called Bayou Luis (my spelling may be off....I never could write in French very well), but it means bear bayou. That would indicate that at some point, there were bears here. I have never, however, seen a bear in this area or have heard of anyone else who has. My parents and grandparents have commented on Bayou Luis and wondered themselves about the name because none of them know anything about bears. Strange considering how much wildlife there is here.
Guess we are lucky.
My problem is a 2 legged problem. Eventually I will inherit the property my hive is on. I think I should really put a little money aside to put up an 8 foot chainlink fence to protect all our projects and interests. We work too hard to have this poop going on, by a few nuts with 20 gauges. They shouldn't have even been there to start with. I have mixed emotions. In one way I hope they come back so I can get a nice 8X10 shot of them and have them arrested, but that would put my bees in danger again and its getting cold.
My family hunts too, but legally and on the places they are allowed. This is just a no respect situation. I can pay for something and work my butt off and someone comes along and destroys it when I'm not looking.
