When we arrived home this afternoon two of my chickens were missing. Looking around I found several areas of white feathers in front yard along with her apron in the driveway. The Rooster was also missing, I found his feathers in the backyard. The other three hens were fine. They free range in our yard, they have a fenced yard but they fly over the fence. We have hawks and owls on our property, I'm sure we have raccoons and possums, we live in a wooded area.

Was there any bodies or just feathers? Dogs will eat everything, leaving only feathers. But if something drug it away, you probably won't find anything. I found skunks have drug my birds quite far from the coop, but they usually leave some carcass left. At least the ones I've come across have.

I'm so sorry something ate your chickens :'(

My guess is the hawk we had 4 chickens and 2 got taken by the hawk, when they were gone there was no blood evidence, just feathers.
So sorry that that happened to you and your birds
