Something entered my coop last night!!!

as long as the wound looks good don't think I'd give antibiotics, just keep putting on neo. also can use iodine or betadine mixed with water to help the healing, so glad to hear she's doing well.

She is still alive this morning. I am so happy.
Some friends have said it could have been a weasel. Are they small enough to fit through chain link fencing?

yes they are small, read about them in the Predator thread. You'll need to reinforce your run and coop with hardware cloth 1" or smaller. They say they can get through a 1" whole. Minks are small also. Happy to hear she's still with us. When you say missing a wing are you saying it's gone all the way to the body?

Sounds like you have a boogiecreature going in there.

Our ferel cat "ATTILA" takes care of boogiecreatures.

"IM HUNGRY!"

Yes, the entire wing is gone just a 1 inch stump left up next to her body. She is still doing ok so hopefully she will live a happy life without 1 wing.

Months a go the same thing happend
to us, I bought Blu kote spray at TSC
and my Banty cochin is still doing well.
I sprayed her stump of a wing every day for 3 days
and just kept her warm and well feed in the housecage to recooperate.
for the next 2 weeks.
I hope yours does well.
It seem like she will, if so far she is eating and drinking.
but Neo-sporin isnt the best as to what I have been told

it blocks the wound from healing.
My human Dr. wont use it ,Told me to use Perioxide to rinse
any wound
then just soap and water.I hope this helps.

I believe I'd change to blue kote or watered down betadine now it will help it to heal up faster,... And I am very happy to hear she's doing so good....
