I'm glad to see that your momma has taught you well. Thinking of others, and such. If even just a little of her rubs off on you, you will make her proud. Yes, your mom deserves a day off from everything. She needs to be able to relax, treat herself, and you worry about the everyday chores that she does for you and your family everyday. Even if you have to have hot dogs for dinner, at least she won't have to do it. Just tell your mom how special she is to you. That is really all us mommas want to hear from our angels.

Bantymum....lock me out!?? Ohhh no!! I wanna know what she is gonna get me! LOL And...a trip to Australia....wow, thats a lifetime DREAM! One day...I will get there! LOL 2 Places I want to visit before I die..Alaska, and Australia. We lived in Alaska for 6 yrs. One more place to go!
 
Love Alaska. DH worked there when we were married. Talk about a long commute. I couldn't stand being away from him that long 2 wks, so I got him to look for a job here. But I have family in Eagle River outside of Anchorage.

Eagle River is a beautifull area. Actually....ALL of Alaska is beautifull. I miss it soooo much!! We moved back here, mainly because both of our parents are older, and not in great health. We just want to be near them, for as long as they have left...and want to be here to help with anything they might need. Alaska was GREAT, however....now just a dream past. At least we have great memories!!
