Something got my chickens!!!!

How did you fill in the area where it got in? I'd be concerned that unless you used hardware cloth and either dug it down or laid it out like an apron, the predator could get back in.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Poor chickens are just so vulnerable.

I am in Pinellas County, which is very populated and has had a spike recently in Coyote sitings. I reinforced all my chicken wire today, but I'm not confident that would stop one.....

It sounds more like a dog. Cats don't generally bother adult chickens. Even if it did, I doubt that it would have gone to the trouble of getting more than one. Also, a coyote would have taken the carcass away to eat. It sounds much more like a dog kill. Dogs usually just leave a mess.

maybe your own dog? or does your dog have a buddy who came over to play?

You are right about the Cayote taking the carcass with it to eat - it may be a dog.
