Something in my eye!

Hi All-

We noticed on this Barred Rock tonight something in her eye. At a distance I thought maybe eye worm. After dark I plucked her off the roost and had a good look. It appears to be some sort of skin tag, but definitely not a worm. Any thoughts on this one? The only real issue is it has become a bit of a target for the others.... Not good!

Looks like the upper lid has been torn. Looks to be healed over as well.
Can you see a vet, likely it will need to be removed if the other are pecking at it?

You're right! I was focused on the "extra part", not the missing part. We haven't had a farm vet in the area for almost 20 years.... dogs & cats, we're covered..... Uggh.
