I have a 5 month old Dark Brahama Roo who has lost weight, his comb and woddles are pail and he just doesnt run around like he use to..He eats but it isnt nearly what he use to eat and hes not gasping for air but hes very vocal like..I used wazine and gave him 3ccs of LA100 and no improvement..He doesnt have bubbly eyes or sneezing, no snot dripping So Im kinda lost and need help

At first I thought this was a good forum to be on and after making 1 post I see its really not..Im far from a beginner but ran into an issue with a bird and ask for advise and with all the members on here not a SINGLE suggestion as to what might be his issue..Ladies and gentleman I wish you the best but this is not the type of forum I want to belong too

OK, your original post was made at about 11:00pm last night, a Friday night after most had gone to bed - and by 8am you are ticked that no one posted a solution to your chicken problem?? Even chicken obsessed folks have to sleep sometime. Instead of pitching a bird fit, why don't you make a pot of coffee, settle down and see if people check in when they get up?

Sorry your bird isn't doing well. There is a sticky post at the top of the list on page one of this forum. It says "read this first" or something like that. It gives you lots of questions to answer that might help you to get some answers to your problems. I don't know what to tell you about your rooster myself. Sometimes they have a weak heart. Not just Brahmas, all breeds, and when they get around that age, they get sorta lazy seeming, but in reality their heart just can't pump enough blood to keep them going. When the weather gets hot, they tip over. I don't know if that is what is up with your rooster. The thing is, vets are so expensive and chickens are so cheap, they almost never get to see a vet. Wish I could help. I had a nice young dark brahma rooster last month. Sold the hens, ate the rooster because I was running out of pen space. I'd have let you have him for free if yours didn't make it.

The other easily cured condition, besides worms, that can take a chicken down and even kill them is lice/mites, if you haven't treated. Here is an article about this:

You didn't give a lot of information. For example, if you feed a lot of corn or scratch or scraps, it could be that he needs better nourishment. If he forages in compost or trash, he could be getting sick from something he eats. He could even be eating a poisonous plant, though that doesn't seem to happen very often. And it is also true that he could have something internal wrong such as a heart or liver problem, though at least with heart you would usually see darkened comb and wattles, I think, rather than pale. The pale comb and wattles might indicate there is a problem with diet.
