Hi
I have 14 three week old chicks and I believe one of them has something stuck in its throat or crop. I had been reading about giving chicks treats and it said that pieces of vegetables would be ok.
Yesterday I put 5-6 small pieces, julienne size, of carrot in their box and they were mostly afraid of it. Later they were running around with them playing tag.
That was yesterday, tonight the smallest most active chick is acting strange and keeps moving her head and neck in a funny way. When I cleaned them out last night I didn't think they had eaten any of the carrot.
She also just stands with her eyes shut.
When I feel her neck I think I can feel a whole piece of the carrot in there. It seemed to have happened all of a sudden.
What can do to help her?
Please give me any input that may help.
