Something stuck on chick near butt area

Hi, new chicken owner here. Just purchased my first chicks today and they all seem to be doing quite well with an exception of one chick who I noticed has something hard stuck close to hear butt region. It's somewhat of a triangle shaped and very hard, I almost feel like it's an eggshell? Initially I thought it might be pasty butt but I don't think that's the case. Anyone has experience with something that sounds like this, any ideas on how I could remedy this situation? Thank you!

Looks like an eggshell maybe just leave it but if it doesn’t come off then maybe try cut it back a little so the pooo doesn’t stick to it then wait for the rest to come off by itself

Definitely looks like a piece of an egg shell! Isellsilkies makes a good suggestion, give it more time for it to fall off on its own. If it doesn't and begins collecting poo or getting dirty, I think what I would do is apply some warm water on a rag, don't immerse the chick in any water, something to soften it and gently extract the egg shell.

Oki doki! Fingers crossed that this remedies on its own But if it doesn't, any idea on how many days I should wait before doing anything?

try and wash it if you must, but don't cut it. It may be part of the umbilical cord.
