Over a month's period we have lost as many as six glass eggs a week, sometimes four a day. We have never seen a snake. Nothing has climbed under the fence, no digging. The hens have never been harmed. Sometimes we lose a lot of eggs a day, sometimes not,. No skunk smell. Ground too hard or vegetation-covered for tracks. We have never found a dead snake filled with a glass egg(s).

I've lived in the country a long time, and this a mystery to me! Any suggestions?

Just an innocent question... could the hens be pushing them somewhere.. under the coop perhaps? My golf balls end up in place I never thought they'd end up. Good luck! A game cam would be good right now.

Welcome! if you haven't found any raccoons or snakes or anything, then i'd takefshinggrls advice and check under or around the coop, and if possible invest in a cheap game camera
