Something wrong with my buff orpington :(

She could have coccidiosis from many of her symptoms. It is treated with Corid (amprollium) powder 1.5 tsp or liquid 2 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days. You can find it at most feed stores in the cattle med. section. After treatment give vitamins and probiotics for 1 week. Sorry, I just realized you gave me the dose here for CORID.

It also looks like coccidosis to me. Her stools are mucousy and she is kinda wet around her vent like she has diarrhea. We have tons of wild birds here (I have netting for hawks but smaller birds still get through it).

Thanks again!

Chickens get more mg/kg than cattle and goats with either. If you got the powder Corid it's 1.5 teaspoons/gallon for 5-7 days, liquid is 2 teaspoons/gallon for 5-7 days. The most effective dose of Safeguard would be no less than .2ml per 2.2 pounds (20mg/kg) for three days, but I usually just do .5ml per 2.2 pounds (50mg/kg) once. Cows and goats get just 5mg/kg, but don't ask me why, lol.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Should I return her to the flock? It's going to be cold tonight here.... 7F overnight.

I already bought on Amazon the nutri-drench and the vitamins+electrolytes for when they're done with treatment.

If she is sick then she can spread that sickness to the other chickens and you will have an even bigger problem on your hands, I would wait until she is acting normal before returning her to the flock. Good luck!

I mixed me medicine in the water, offered to her and she had several drinks!!!

I have one more question: when should I start to see improvement?
