Ok strawberries are good as long as they don't have mold on them..

It's Pine that I have read being toxic.... I'm just glad she is better and it wasn't anything Serious....

I was just wondering about the game feed isn't that way too much protein for a small chicken. I always was told that they should have between 16 and 18% protein. Not saying that could have anything to do with it just a thought.

I'm not sure, I asked the guy at the feed store if there was something I could give all my poultry and he said I could give the game bird starter and grower to all my chickens and ducks, and guineas so that I could feed them all the same instead of buying different foods and worrying about what one can have and one can't have.
So I have been buying the game bird starter/grower, cracked corn for all and give only the chickens the scratch.

I have fed that for over 10yrs to my silkies. I feed it no matter what age (all their lives). I have stronger babies and my adults have beautiful feathers. I was told long time ago by an old timer to switch from chick feed and layer to the gamebird starter/grower and when they start laying add free choice oyster shell and that is it. I have had no problems and my oldest chicken is 9 yrs. old.

That's good to know, since I'm buying chick starter, turkey grower, and layena. Holy cow if I only knew.
