My chicks are 10 weeks old now all are doing well....say for one...Lacey my gold laced wyandotte shes been acting so weird...shes not staying with the other girls....shes always being distant....its weird cause its only been happening this last week...she wont even eat with the other girls she will wait till they are done... shes acting very shy and distant from the rest of the girls... what is wrong with her????

I'd say she isn't feeling well. Look at how she stands, holding her tail down. You need to look at her poop. It will tell you is she's sick. Mark where she roosts tonight and look at the dropping below her perch in the morning.

You may need to post over on the "emergencies" forum and get some help, but wait until morning when you will have more information to go on.

Her tail is up... right now.. just that pic it was down... its been breezy the last few days

Well what I mean is that in that pic, she looks ill. But a pic can be unrepresentative of how she generally acts. So what I am really asking is, does she appear cold a good deal of the time?
No she doesnt... shes always ever since she was a chick been the distant one from humans which is fine.. i dont mind that.. what i do mind tho is how distant she has been from the flock... aways behind... everyone runs to me when i call for them and then 5 minutes later ill see her run towards the rest of the flock... then the girls eat in the morning and she waits till they move on to eat or drink.. its so weird.. AND before she wasnt like that.. just the last week... i woke up to the other morning to a cat next to the coop watching the birds.. ive scared the cat away a few times from my yard in the last two weeks... its not the cat is it?? i would think that would make her want to be closer to the flock not so distant.. im just worried.. now It must be said she is the smallest of the flock..

Keep observing her, and do check her poop to be safe.

Wyandottes can be stand-offish, with each other and people, too. I have a GLW five-year old hen that none of the others like very much. She has a temper, and was a bully her first couple years. Now the others keep her in her place and occasionally will chase her and peck her. She seems to have no close buddy like most of the others. I've seen often enough that others have experienced their GLWs being temperamental, too. You might observe flock dynamics for a bit and see if she's being bullied, though.

You shouldn't try to change any behavior, unless someone is getting bloodied. Your girl is probably just trying to find her place in the pecking order.

None of my birds "bully" each other.. *giggles* i will watch them sometimes run up to each other and stick their head up and puff out and go what?! what?! then move on lol... i think its funny when they do that.. I would check her poop... but my girls are weird they dont like sleeping on their roosts too often they perfer to sleep on each other.. perhaps they will grow out of that one.. and they also like our abandon dog house during the day to go hang out in... on and behind by our pomegranate tree... *giggle* they have been um whats the word entertaining??? i put some bedding in the dog house because they love it so much......luckily lacey still sleeps with the others... no problem .....a few times tho me and my husband tho have been started when we go to lock the girls up for the night and lacey is laying on TOP of the coop...this has happened twice now.. then we will just pick her up and put her in with the others..

x2 on the loner hens. I don't think it is the cat making her act like that. Cats will attack pullets I have found so keep on top of that.

I have had loner hens who just don't fit in and prefer to be off by themselves.

You may want to make sure you have two feeders to help her get to eat more.
