Pox?Are you sure it's gnats?
I had to vaccinate my chickens last year.Pox?
I am looking into getting First Lime Saturday. Here are his pictures. You can get construction sand at any gravel and sand yard in town. You are no doubt fighting high humidity and spring is especially bad for gnats. More than half of them are capable of nasty bites if they're anything like the gnats in springtime along the Colorado River. I don't know of anything that will protect you.
I do not think so. Good suggestion though. I have a question. Did chicken pox originate from chickens?Pox?
Chicken pox has nothing to do with chickens. It's caused by the herpes virus, one of the many forms. Way back in time, people were being killed by a much worse pox, small pox, and when there appeared a milder form of the rash, they called it "chicken" pox because it seemed wimpy in comparison. That's one of the reasons for the name. Here is the whole story. http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2014/04/chickenpox-got-name/I do not think so. Good suggestion though. I have a question. Thank you! I was just wondering why it was called chicken pox.Chicken pox has nothing to do with chickens. It's caused by the herpes virus, one of the many forms. Will you look at the pictures to help me find out what is wrong? As soon as I walked out there I realized that there are not as many little black spots as usual...Chicken pox has nothing to do with chickens. It's caused by the herpes virus, one of the many forms. Oh, he and his hens get along really well. Weird. I will keep a closer eye on him. What about the kind of raw spots near where is crown (sprouts?) The gnats absolutely adore swarming Pastel's raw spots on his crown. Poor baby. Those black spots don't look like fowl pox. They're probably just old pecking wounds. My chickens have them a lot from disagreements they have with one another. While humans may slap each other when angry, chickens peck the comb when mad at another chicken.
