You've had your girls next to each other long enuff that I imagine there really shouldnt BE carnage!

They will probably be more like...oh, hmm, we arent separated anymore, and then go about their business.

Yea, if that ball was clear, where Fussy could SEE what was in there, she woulda had it all figured out by now. The way it is, she knows there are goodies, she pecks at the hole, she kinda moves it with her foot, but she doesnt quite get the moving it, food rolling out thing. Since its not visible to her, she is not quite ambitious enuff to move it around. I have seen her inspect it and take her foot and move it a BIT, but only halfheartedly. Its quite heavy too, there has to be something like that made for birds, that is lighter and see thru so they can shake the crap out of it.

Oh, and I probably wouldnt have gotten it, but it was 10 cents at a garage sale still in the box and had never been used. I figured ya cant lose too much for 10 cents.

There is a ton of that stuff made for parrots... I used to be in that business you know... but the stuff costs a fortune and allot of it is way beyond the Capacity of a chicken to figure out.
but I know there are clear plastic feeder toys around , if you want to spend the money.

Well, her CAPACITY amazes me. For a chicken I mean. She actually reasons somewhat. I know she is emotional, maybe that is what makes it seem like she is fairly smart.

I guess the ones that jump on one thing to get to another point reason somewhat too. Then there are those like Red, who would try to jump straight to point A, without having enuff smarts to figure she could GET to point A by going to b and c first.

The other lil one I had, I dont necessarily think she was that smart, but she COULD reason out how to get to the highest point in the kitchen. I could actually see her think it out, so who knows, she might have been cute in her smarts. I could see her look at a point, KNOW she couldnt make it straight on, then look around to see HOW she could GET to that point. Now that IS reasoning to some degree. My Red sex link, really is just a chicken. She is cute, she loves food, she is piggy, but I really would say she is dumb as a post.

I think Fussy' smarts are what get her in trouble and she gets bored SO easy, usually boredom is also a sign of some intelligence as well I would figure. So there.

Well, Barg

Sometimes my Red surprises me. She has figured out the ball with the treats. She is in her pen rolling it around as we speak. Fussy is watching and trying to eat all the goodies that come out.

Its really pretty heavy too, poor thing, here she figures it out in 100 degree heat. And she is a LITTLE chicken. I am so proud....
