Hello All -- We had RIRs at our home on St. Pete Beach back in the waaaaay back. Now I'm living in Northeast St. Pete and want to share the fun of gathering fresh eggs with my grandkids. Still looking at pre-made coops and laying-hens. Would love to get baby chicks, but no roosters allowed (or wanted, to be honest). I like the idea of the lovely Americauna eggs. So...any suggestions for where to buy a small coop (4 hens) and hens nearby would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome back to chickens!

I hope you find a local source for chickens and a coop. Did you check Craig's list?

G’Day from down under stpetechicks :frow Welcome!

Sorry, living in Aus, I am not going to be much help with your search, but I do wish you all the best.

I also hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock when they arrive, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
