Somthing killed my chickens!!!!!!!!!

Came home today and somthing had killed all of my chickens and I dont know what it was that had done this! My kids sit in the yard and pet them all the time and they are so heart broken. All of them were attacked from behind and were bitten on the butt and backs of their legs no head injuries and there are feathers everywhere. My backyard has a 6 ft tall wood privacy fence and cant figure out how anything got in there unless it climbed it! Any ideas on what it may be? I suspect a fox?

Sounds like it might be a dog. They chase and kill from behind when they catch the hens and then just leave them. They do it for sport 'cause they're dogs.

I think it was a dog also.

It is REALLY sad when you lose one bird but your whole flock

I'd say dog too. A fox or any other wild animal would have eaten them. Dogs will kill just for the sport.

If there is no way for a dog to have gotten in... then out again... my next best guess is a cat. I have seen some overly "playful" cats that just want to toy with birds. once the birds stop fighting... the thrill is gone and they move to the next. Cat saliva is very toxic to birds as well.
