I can relate...my youngest son deploys in a couple of weeks...he is in Washington State and I am in Florida so I wont get to see him off...hoping and praying that our "boys" make it home safe...

My kids are both in country -- and we get to keep it like that for a while just raise lots of chickens and it will be over before you know it -- in our prayers

My daughter also deployed last week. I will be praying for her and her unit as well as everyone else over there each day. Will also keep your son in my prayers. It is a difficult thing for a parent. I am a nurse and was kind of wishing I could go over there and work but I have younger children as well and can't leave. I also think the cutoff age is 42 so I am too darn old:

My son will be deploying in 2 weeks for 7 months (3 in Italy then straight to Afghanistan for another 4)

and my daughter will be going back to Afghanistan in Dec/Jan for another year, she just got back from a year in the sandpit in March.

*sigh* so I will have both my children deployed at the same time.....mothers worst nightmare

I Pray Morning Noon and Night that The Good Lord protects and keeps ALL of our service men and women safe and gives them the strength to endure what comes their way and comfort in times of sorrow.
