Last year at work, Van Halen's "Panama" came on the radio .. I was singin' away and the young girl sitting next to me says "What are you saying?"

I said "Panama?"

She says "Oh, I always wondered why the name of the song was Panama .. I thought he was saying:

CANNON BALL ...

From that point on, when that song comes on we stand up and all sing:

CANNON BALL ... CANNON BA-ALL .... CANNON BALL

Try it! .. You'll never sing it right again ..

There's a song by Crystal Lewis called "Beauty for Ashes", and when it first came out, the first time I heard it I could have sworn she was saying "He gives beautiful rations, strength for fear..." I was talking about the song to my hairdresser while she was cutting my hair, and was laughing about what I thought the lyrics were, and she says, "so it's NOT beautiful rations?" ...
