I don't know how many different live productions they have, but the one in Boston (that I've seen 2 or 3 times) actually starred Ted Neeley from the movie. That guy is the real deal and was belting out those high notes in his 60's!

Sadly in 9th grade I was also forced to sit through the movie in addition to reading it. The movie was also terrible (but I also just hate movies)

I always remind my daughter at Easter, It's time to watch the original. Daaaad, a bunch of people get off the bus, kill a guy, then get back on the bus. KIDS, and yet West Side Story is one of her favorites.

I would like to say that Romeo and Juliet is a love story because being with each other was not possible due to their families fighting each other, and their love although was short, but passionate and they willing to take whatever action to be together which end up tragically.

They knew each other 3 days total and before Romeo saw Juliet he was pining hard over some other girl who rejected him, that's not love, that's hot headedness that makes outside seem like a cold winter day, what they need is a cold shower, a cup of tea and someone to talk some sense into them

I miss being young and not overthinking everything.

That garbage song by Garbage that they used for the 90's remake is pretty awful.

I think most teens have more sense than they did, wouldn't call it romantic love either, I bet they couldn't tell you the first thing about the other person, they are certainly infatuated with each other but I wouldn't say they had the makings of a relationship yet

Youth..being so care free.....fearless...I miss those days too, the mind is fearless, the body is super ...

I also found that as I am older now, I have less fear because I know what the outcome will be, and at time I thought I am too old for this...so be it

I am not familiar with the garbage song, which one in particular?
