Songs that make your skin crawl.

I think most teens have more sense than they did, wouldn't call it romantic love either, I bet they couldn't tell you the first thing about the other person, they are certainly infatuated with each other but I wouldn't say they had the makings of a relationship yet
I can not agree more....but those times are so sweet, fun, get our stomach churn, missing the beloved..(inflatuation or not) such fearless time, boundless energy is so short in human life...then before we know it, reality kick in, the endless responsibilities,...grrrrrrr....

Then arrives old age...body failing....

Now I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you get to skip all that if both people are really ridiculously good looking.
I am familiar with the garbage song, which one in particular?

I am not familiar with this band Garbage.

OMG, that song Crush sounds so creepy, my skin actually crawl upon listening to it. The lyric is obsessive, scary, and so dark......I do like the fancy period costume in the video.

My back bone feels spooky as I listen to this song Crush. I would vote this the creepy & skin crawling song I have come a cross to date

A lot of Shakespeare is crude... not Canterbury Tales crude, but...

Remember, those kids in Romeo and Juliet had already lived about half of their life... (I mean, if they hadn't committed suicide, or fake and then real suicide.)
Some gave up their kingdoms for a horse, others their lives to get out from under the thumbs of their stupid parents.

I actually recalled liking the Canterbury tales (read through much of it in ap 12th grade lit), I suppose the fact that I appreciate random stories over romance might have something to do with it

I think my favorite book I had to read in high school was one read by mistake (it was summer reading but for another school and I looked at the wrong list) was Agatha Christie's and then there were none. It was a horror mystery novel and the plot was absolutely amazing. I may have read it by mistake but I am glad I did read it, I also enjoyed lord of the flies which was also on the list for the other school, not as good as and then there were none but still a good plot

My favorite book that we actually had to read was Walden. Interestingly my 11th grade English teacher openly admitted to the class she thought the book was incredibly boring but I found it absolutely fascinating

Hmm, perhaps I should start a thread about this so we can actually get back on topic

This is my thread, and I declare we are now talking about books (in addition to cringey songs). Edit: You should totally make a thread too, though!

I'm going to look up the books you mentioned. My high school was... different. So I missed out on a lot of the classics. Favorite one we were assigned was The Remains of the Day. That led me to one of my favorite authors, Kazuo Ishiguro. Guy does not write a bad book!

Totally fair, it is your thread :D
(I did make a thread specifically about the best and worst assigned reading though)
