First time I hear this singer. Beautiful voice.. Kind of reminds me of a style by a different singer... Dolly Parton.

So, hearing that artist's version of 500 miles took me back. A well-known Australian singing group from the sixties, The Seekers, did a version of that song.
Here's them doing a different song, The Carnival is Over

And it led me to Peter Allen's "I Still Call Australia Home". This is a version when Oprah came for a holiday. There was a series of Qantas ads featuring the Australian Youth Choir in fabulous locations. If you can't stand the rah rah Australia stuff give this one a miss

I do like a number of Musical groups from Down Under. I never knew the Seekers were one such group. I remember their songs way back when.....
