Sonic's project; Chicken Run & Henhouse made from Pallets *updated*

Little Update;

I swapped the two boys for two 1 year old brown/ginger layers, and two babies... one black and one grey.

We had some social integration issues, and the little black baby got bullied hard... i had to buy some purple spray to treat its wounds! but after a while (about 4 weeks) they were ok! i did have to go in and help defend them whilst they fed at first though!

Here is the new grey baby, named Grace.

The protecting and hand feed from the first introduction has made Grace very tame;

Hope you all like!

Its a pain having to do fresh water each day to beat the ice aint it!

Nice update. LOVE your Grace. Looks a lot like my grey girl that was hatched by my broody. My girl is EE grey mom with brown leghorn dad.

Here in the Pacific NW, we had 2-3 days of freezing temps and snow. I am so thankful we are back to rain so I don't have to spend an hour before and after work lugging hot water out to the chickens, ducks, goats, and pony.

Hey Sonic, great job on that chicken coop. It looks like a perfect spot with good drainage too. It fits right in, looks rustic and sort of camoflauged too. Love it. Wow, it's holding up real well with the snow load!!!!

Happy owner= happy chickens, everyone wins.

Sonic, great job on everything, the planning, construction, and documentation of your efforts.
