There are photos of a Blackshoulder Violete on my web site ( mentioned on this thrd.) and there are feather photos of different colors comparing to Violete. The males are difficult to get the colors to show well and there are a number of photos on the web. I am not good at putting photos on BYC or there would be more of my birds photos on . There is 8-9 yrs of breeding in these to get many males. There are not many around as most people cant pay $1000.00's for each bird... Some of the first purple males were $5000.00 each and silver pied were in that range also. I have been from border to border and almost coast to coast to look at peafowl. So some of you need to get out and see what is out there. I know of a number of new colors that people have not seen yet. If you want to get smart about it for what ever reason ??? go ahead as you probably not going to buy one anyway. thanks all ,, George Connerhills

, and that doesn't bother me, I have dealt with people like some of these for over 60 yrs.. You should look at the Australian peafowl forums one of them is a real group of ??? ( they have kicked most of the UPA members off) and the other one is a great bunch of people, it will not take long to figure out one from the other. I have no adversity to more photos but as I said I am not sure how and have not worked on it for a while and I get pretty cramped for time sometimes. If most of you have taken photo of birds you don't just run out there and snap one, mostly it takes hrs of setting and a lot of snapping. The Violete is hard to get a good light on or he will look just like another blue. Best seen in person to bird. I will work on that and see if some will show up... George
