Sonja's Violeta

Pics
What if the Sonja's Violeta peafowl were just midnight peafowl ??? or Purple peafowl in fresh plumage ??? Bronze peafowl ???

Resent photoes of Sonja's Violeta peafowl and correct colours are only way to save misunderstandment, otherwise members will think "This bird is a midnight peafowl"

Please provide the resent photoes of Sonja's Violeta peafowls.

There is one photo of just the train and it lacks any luster, it actually looks like it has mud on it, I never seen feathers that looked like that , is it a common thing in these dark tailed breeds?

When Brad Legg brought a b/s Sonja's Violetta male up to me to look at closely,it had been raining and was very overcast that morning. But the color of that male reminded me of a very dark maroon and the eyes in the train was unbelievable,,stunning to put it lightly.I'm still planning on a trio here for next spring.

Suggest you all back up and read what FBC said. Violete is not a bronze or midnight or anything else but a Violete . The males are difficult to get good photos of the color. You just have to see them like FBC did. I have a few for sale now. You can look at my new web site connerhills.com/ if I got all of the correct dots and slants in the right place .. If not Google it. I have photos on the web site of some of my birds and the Violete. George @ connerhills

Here is the link to Connerhill's page with his Sonja's Violetas: http://connerhills.com/violete_peafowl.html

I personally haven't seen many different varieties of peafowl in person. I can say that when I saw a Cameo pair in person they did look better in person. In a lot of photos cameos looked dull to me. In person they do have a bit of a shine to their feathers. Sonja's Violeta could be a variety that is like the Cameos and Peaches. Both are similar looking varieties yet they are different. Violeta could just be similar looking to a midnight or even purples. Some varieties just seem harder to photograph.

I never said they were bronze er midnight I was asking about the luster of the feathers like cameos have no luster just what I call flat colors.

I am just trying to picture the colors in my head as photos hardly ever do bird justice.
