SOO ANGRY!!!!! whats up with kids nowdays??

You didn't call the police? You don't have to be careful about your bully breed if you are in control of your animal following the leash laws. You were doing the right thing. I'm furious that they let their dog off lead. But why on earth didn't you call the police? If they want to pull the "I don't know who's dog it is" garbage then the police would seize the dog. They will learn a much more appropriate lesson from law enforcement when their dog gets carted away. You don't have to put up with that garbage and if it isn't stopped then the next person walking their dogs is going to be dealing with the same thing. Please next time report it. Those punks need a real lesson before they pull that on a little old lady. You are so lucky that their was no attack. I am glad nobody was hurt.

Ive learned I can not take my Dog Aggressive dog out of the back yard because of other people. Yes, we understand that OUR dog does cause the trouble but people just letting their dogs run loose isnt going to make ANYONE happy when they come across a unfriendly dog.

Shame on those boys. They obviously dont care about their dog letting it loose like that.

Your story reminded me of something that happened to me years ago. I had a lovely mix breed dog that I took for regular walks, always on a lead. Two houses up the road from us was some people who had an issue with our dog for some reason. They used to open their gate so their dogs can attack my dog as I walk past. Then stand and watch my dog overwhelm theirs before they come running, screaming at me! They even went as far as getting other more aggressive dogs to let lose on mine. I didn't know what to do, I was just a kid at the time.
One day they stupidly phoned the police. A very nice policeman came to our house and asked me if I'm aware that by leaving their gate open and letting their dogs lose on me they are breaking the law. He advised me to phone the police whenever they do it again. They didn't, thankfully. But it was stupid of them, phoning the police when THEY were wrong!
Bottom line: phone the police and tell them what happened and find out what the laws are where you live.

We have a bull terrier and we have had similar incidents to the one you described many times. Always a young man with a "tough" type of dog, and they egg thier dogs on to attack our gentle and well behaved BullTerrier. They either let thier dog go or let it get to the end of the lead in our dogs face, and ours. Its happened so often that we seldom take our dog out on walks anymore because even though our dog is a good stable dog - he can easily kill most of these dogs and we all know whose dog will get the blame by the media - ours. I have to say that I am plenty sick of stupid insecure young men who seem to think nothing of endagering my dog and my safety so they can brag about thier dog getting brave with a Bull terrier or whatever they say about it.
