Hi,
My name is Barbara. I'm learning so much about quails from BYC that I decided to join. I live in Southern California. I'm very interested in acquiring fertile Coturnix eggs so that I can hatch my own quails for eggs. I'm in the process of designing my coop. (Learning a ton from this site). I've ordered an incubator (after researching on BYC). And will be building a brooder (based on info learned here).
We have a small yard. We have one rescue dog and one rescue cat. We have three grown children who are now on their own.
I'm really excited about my new hobby/adventure. I can't wait to get my eggs and start hatching. Thank you to everyone for all of your great information!!!

Hi Barbara and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. I wish you the best of luck with your new quail project.

It seems that you know your way around BYC, so no need to help you navigate, but you may wish to join your state thread - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you

Best wishes

Hello Barbara and welcome to BYC!! It’s so nice to have you join us! welcome.gif

It does sound like you know your way around the site. In the slight chance there is something you may not have come across, this video may help with learning how to navigate the new site.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask one of us. :)

Hello there anything welcome to BYC! :frow

Quail are so much fun to keep! I used to keep loads of Bobwhites. Definitely stop by our quail section to meet other Quail owners... https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/quail.48/

Great to have you aboard! :)
