Soon to be chicken lady

Welcome to BYC. Are you getting chicks this spring? It always helps to make the coop and run larger than you think. You may want to hatch more chicks, and it helps to have a large hospital pen for either sick birds, breaking a broody hen, or for adding new birds gradually. Have a look at all of the good articles in the Learning Center and take a look at the Coops section for ideas on brooders and coops. Good luck.

Spent last weekend working on my soon-to-be coop. We had a shed that needed cleaning out, removed trash and a few rat carcasses. Also removed the unstable lean-to. It still needs a thorough cleaning and disinfecting.
