Sooo, I kinda got into rabbits now...

3 are pedigreed, 3 are not. I'm not close to Indiana, and not planning on showing yet, but it is in my plans for the future. Just trying to figure out what I'm doing at this point.

Finding local shows in your area from arba.net is a great way to start. Just attending is free, and you can look around and see what is what and how things work. Ken and I spent two complete days at two shows before venturing forth with showing and it really helped us alot just to know what was going on. And we found that rabbit people, simply put, ROCK. So do the ARBA judges and the people from the different rabbit clubs. There are several source documents and articles that we have saved if you are interested. Rabbits have very delicate digestive systems, so the more knowledge you have the better off they will be.

And look out. Rabbits are more addicting than chickens, but much higher maintenance. We have 8 currently, and will not breed again until three more are sold. Overbreeding is also a problem with many breeders. We only breed a doe once every 9 months at the MOST.

Here is a link to Holland Lops ( they are almost all the same as E Lops)

debiraymond Where rabbits are concerned, there is no such thing as over doing it. They are delicate and hearty at the same time. If those lops have pedigrees, they are likely to win on a show table. I have seen less quality lops take home a leg. If you have the pedigrees and are close to Indiana, you may want to consider taking them to the annual ARBA convention this year. It is not unheard of for a first timer to win. Maybe not the BIG prize (because Betty Chu will be there so all hope is lost for everyone else), but I bet they could place well.

From the pics, they really are outstanding rabbits.

HAHAHA. how true. Betty wins everything here too. I'm sending one of my Sables to compete as a youth rabbit. Thankfully Betty is no longer showing youth

Don't avoid just don't get to close to her rabbits at shows and pray she doesn't enter if you are going to show. you should be safe though she only shows on the West Coast unless it's an Angora National show or convention.

Because you don't have English Angoras, no reason to avoid her, but she WILL win BOB and move to the best in show and she WILL win that too. History cannot be denied.

How true. One day my American sables will beat her English Angoras one day
