So I’ve came across this issue and noticed that one of my hens has a sore right below her vent. The vent is 100% fine, but the sore concerns me. It was scabbed yesterday (which to me I thought it was healing) but today the sore was open. ALSO, my other hen has blood on her beak...I know she is pecking at her, but what can I do to help her heal faster and keep the others from pecking at her? Separate her? See pictures for reference. She wouldn’t let me get super close.

Look over the wound carefully for any maggots that could be hatching from mosquito larvae laid by flies. Clean it with some disinfectant or soap and water, and apply som antibiotic ointment. Sometimes pine tar for horses, or anti peck ointments can help prevent vent and feather pecking, but look at other possible causes. Overcrowding in the coop, not getting out to free range, boredom, or too little protein in the diet can be possible causes. If there is a bully, some people use pinless peepers on the agressor, so that she cannot see her victim directly. Here is a link to read about those:

I am having the same issue with one of my hens. I separated her by putting her in a small dog crate and keeping that in the coop so the other girls can still see her and interact with her. Definitely clean it well and they do.have cream to put on that will help heal her.
