I remember seeing an Old Charlie Chan movie where Charlie gave the same man who was begging money twice. His companion chided him saying that he was being tricked into giving the same man money twice. Wish I could remember the exact line but it was something like - Better to be tricked ten times than to take a chance to let one man go hungry.

For those who feel bad that so much energy and prayer went into this hoax,

remember that prayer isn't in a vacuum. God hears and He knew it was a lie.

But somewhere in the world, there IS a mother whose babies were premies, who desperately needed those prayers. God is merciful and just, and He would not let your prayers be for 'no reason'. Somewhere a grieving family is feeling a sense of peace, a wife with a hospitalized husband felt the arms of God enfold her, and real little premies on ventilators have been given another breath.

While this little bozo faked it all, somewhere else, real people received the gifts of your prayers and those people were greatly blessed.

Don't feel bad. Those real people whom you may never ever know here on earth, are grateful for the comfort of your beautiful and heart-felt prayers and will thank you proper for them someday in Eternity.
